30 Days of 3.0 – Day 11: "Calculated By" Units
Welcome to Day 11 in our “30 Days of 3.0” series. We’re already 1/3rd of the way through this series, but we still have some great content coming up. Yesterday we talked about the new rental patterns we generated, and how we fixed a long-standing problem with how we applied Turnover costs. Today, we’ll wrap up our first trimester by showing you a new way to break down your costs.
We’ve added 3 new options to the “Calculated By” field under “Ledgers => Expenses” for both Operating and Capital Expenses. These options let you specify per-unit expenses on either a monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis. This lets you more easily break down your expenses, like pest control, maintenance, or utilities, for stakeholders to understand.
So that’s a simple, useful change that can make your life easier. Tomorrow, we’ll talk about another simple change we made to “Calculated By” that makes it work the way you want it to. I’ll see you then, and as always, I hope you have a fantastic day! :)
