30 Days of 3.0 – Day 18: Cumulative Cash Flow
Welcome to Day 18 in our “30 Days of 3.0” series. Yesterday we showed you how we now display how much debt remains at the end of each calendar year. We’ve got a quick one today, and it’s about every investor’s favorite thing: profit.
The next line down in our new “Returns” section of the Cash Flow Forecast is “Cumulative Cash Flow”. The value in this column is the sum total of all the “Cash Flow Before Taxes” up to, and including, that point. It allows you to understand how much cash should have been returned to you by the end of that year, and in my opinion, it’s a fun number to watch change as you tweak your assumptions.
As fun as this number is, tomorrow’s bottom line is even more interesting. I’ll see you then, and as always, I hope you have a fantastic day. :)
