30 Days of 3.0 – Day 24: Learning Center

It's Christmas Eve here in the US, and welcome to Day 24 in our “30 Days of 3.0” series. Yesterday showed you our compact and streamlined navigation. Today, I’m going to show you the feature I’m super-excited about, and one we literally redesigned the entire application for the last go-around, the new Learning Center.

Look, we’ve understood for a long time that our system has a lot of functionality, and that it can be a little overwhelming to take it all in. When we first built the prototype for what became Version 2, we designed the bottom app bar specifically with the idea that it would slide up and let you do other things. Similar to the slide-up tray at the bottom of an iPad.

We didn’t get it into Version 2, because we had the entire app to rewrite. Fortunately, it was one of the first things we got to work on when we started planning for Version 3.

So, you click the “Learn” button, and the tray slides up, ready to show you help content that is specific to the page or tab you are on. As you move throughout the site, the content changes with you, so you always have the most relevant information readily available.

Each section also has 3 articles: What’s New, What’s Fixed, and Known Issues. That way, you always know what we’re working on, and how to work around any issues that other customers report.

We’re constantly evolving this content, so check back often. If you have any suggestions for different articles, please e-mail us and let us know. Tomorrow, I’ll tell you about another new feature for the Learning Center that makes it super-easy to talk to us. I’ll see you then, and as always, I hope you have a fantastic day! :)
